Fredrick C. Bothe Scholarship for Environmental Studies

Our 2023 Scholarship applications are now open! Deadline to apply is Saturday September 23rd, 2023 at 11:59pm.

The Florida Society of Environmental Analysts (FSEA) accepts applications for the Fredrick C. Bothe Scholarship for Environmental Studies each year in August/September. This scholarship is intended for undergraduate or graduate students majoring in environmental science, biology, microbiology, chemistry, physics or marine science.

One of FSEA’s goals is to take a leadership role in the promotion of environmental programs and mentoring. The Fredrick C. Bothe Scholarship for Environmental Studies was founded to help achieve this goal. The scholarship is named for one of the past Presidents of FSEA. Fred Bothe was a great man who believed in the mission of the Society and was a supporter of our student mentor program. We have expanded our mentor program to include this scholarship in his honor.

The recipient(s) will receive a $2,000 academic scholarship provided by the Fredrick C. Bothe scholarship fund. The recipient(s) will be invited to attend our Fall Conference in November and will be recognized there during the conference. The conference registration and all expenses will be covered by FSEA. The winning essay(s) will be posted on our website at www.fsea.net
